Kanwarpreet Dhaliwal ENGL 1002 Final Project Remember when fax machines were the next big thing and Zach’s dinosaur cell phone from “Saved by the Bell” turned heads, in a good way? In hindsight, technology has made great strides in the last 10 to 20 years. The whole world stays connected because of today’s technological advances. Dating back to the late 1980’s and early 1990’s technology featured simple computers to calculate stocks and cell phones the size of a brick. Now computers consist of millions of different functions to help the modern person in almost anything and everything. Not only has the computer made its way up, but cell phones, music devices, and cars have also undergone wide-ranging innovations. It is very hard not to find anyone without a cell phone today. Cell phones have made the average person’s life so much easier by calling, texting, and portable Internet. Today’s cell phones are so much more convenient because they are the size of a human hand, if not smaller, making them portable and readily accessible by people of all ages. Personal music devices also have made their way up the chart; iPods, Zunes, and MP3 players have become commonplace. I’m sure we all remember the walk-men, the CD players, and everyone’s favorite: the BOOM BOX. Many technological advances have been innovated in my lifetime. And because of these technological devices I took the liberty of asking random students, who are roughly the same age as I am, and gave them an 8 question survey about their technological history. Video coming soon.  Also i decided to create a podcast again. why? simply because i felt comfortable speaking into front of the camera.  And because i feel as if im getting my information out better.
